The Mars Perseverance rover , launched on 30 July 2020, will seek signs of ancient life and collect rock and soil samples for possible return to Earth. More information from NASA here

Tim Setterfield is an Aerospace Engineer working at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He is a lifelong space enthusiast, and studied at Queen’s University Canada (BScE), Carleton University Canada (MAsc), and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology USA (PhD). He is currently working on systems to land probes on other planets and moons throughout the solar system, and on-orbit assembly of large satellites.
